Who we are

Broadstone Art Gallery at Expree Credit Union is a community space art gallery located in Frankfort, KY. With over 25 years of exhibiting art by artists from across Kentucky and the United States, Broadstone Art, a division of Broadstone Media LLC, takes pride in being one of the longest-running public art spaces in Central Kentucky.

Over twenty-five years ago, Broadstone Books founder Larry Moore, along with his wife, Jane Chancellor Moore, visited an alternative community art space in Louisville, KY, to see artist Stephanie Potter’s work in a pop-up art show. This show at the now-defunct Lunchboy Studios sparked a passion for moving art beyond the traditional art gallery and into a community space accessible to a wider audience. Larry convinced the then-named Kentucky Employees’ Credit Union (KECU) that its blank lobby wall would be an ideal place to display art.

In the years since, many art shows have been held. Several years ago, KECU rebranded to Expree Credit Union and expanded its art footprint by partnering with Josephine Sculpture Park to exhibit large outdoor sculptures. In 2026, we rebranded the original space, renaming it from Jane Chancellor Moore Gallery to Broadstone Art Gallery at Expree.
